Volt is hiring for a hybrid Senior Cloud Engineer in Santa Monica,
CA.
As a Senior Cloud Engineer you will:
Help support the Cloud Infrastructure team in preliminary migration
efforts from GCP to Azure.
Seeking an excellent communicator, happy to work with people from
several different business units. Able to translate business needs
into technical requirements and then help perform the
implementation.
--- Work with other engineers to identify opportunities to move
data and/or workloads from GCP to Azure
--- Collaborate with peer engineering teams on cross functional
migration projects
--- Create detailed plans for migrating data and/or workloads from
GCP to Azure
--- Get your hands dirty by participating in migration and
performing implementation tasks
--- Be passionate about working with and mentoring junior
engineers
This role is hybrid in Santa Monica, CA on a 12-month contract with
possibility to extend.
The ideal candidate will have:
--- 5 years of demonstrated ability working with leading public
clouds
--- 3 years of experience working with Azure
--- Experience with Kubernetes
--- Experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions
--- Experience with ArgoCD, Terraform, Atlantis, and Vault
--- Experience in migrating production systems from one public
cloud to another
--- Great interpersonal skills and a consistent record to work in a
collaborative team environment
--- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of
study or equivalent practical experience
--- Preferred Qualifications
--- Knowledgeable about Identity Management in Azure (Entra ID,
PIM, etc)
--- Knowledgeable about Policy Management in Azure
--- Knowledgeable about Azure Networking
--- Passionate about documentation and training
--- Passionate about usability, maintainability, quality, and
building for the long term
Pay Range: $ $86.00 - $91.00/hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
