Job Description:
The basic function of the Warehouse Manager is to provide the
necessary supervision to effectively schedule, assign, direct, and
control the receipt, storage, and delivery of all incoming and
outgoing shipments as directed by the General Manager.
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for purchasing all necessary
parts and materials as required for the maintenance, overhaul and
repair of all company owned equip¬ment.Lead distribution experience
is a must.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but
are not limited to the following:
6.1 Controls the shipping and receiving of merchandise for
international clients with all supporting documentation for United
States and Mexican Customs.
6.2 Controls the expense of all repair and mainte¬nance for company
equipment within the established budget parameters.
6.3 Recruits, hires, trains, disciplines, and terminates all
workers that come under their direct supervi¬sion.
6.4 Keeps the General Manager informed daily on the status of all
warehouse activities, schedules, and shop labor requirements.
6.5 Informs personnel of training seminars and courses that are
available to update their knowledge and skills, including in house
trai¬ning.
6.6 Ensures that fire and safety regulations in the shipping and
receiving functions are followed and maintained. Ensures that
warehouse operations are done in a safe and effective manner.
6.7 Prepares all reports required by the General Manager and
submitted when due.
6.8 Continually tracks and monitors the customer?s inventory for
proper handling and distribution.
6.9 Properly controls receiving, separating, storing, and shipping
of the customer?s inventory to meet the demands of Casas
International Brokerage?s customers.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
Required:High School Preferred: B.S. in logistic management,
material handling and minor in computer science.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years experience in warehouse management for an
international freight brokerage company that demonstrates an
understanding of United States and Mexico Customs.
Skill, Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledgeable in shipping & receiving, and inventory control
procedures for customers requiring an international freight
brokerage. Ability to communicate clearly in both Spanish and
English, preferably bicultural.
