The mission of the Academy of Scoring Arts is to advance the creative and technical process of scoring visual media by bringing together composers, filmmakers, audio engineers, and musicians to share knowledge through the production of educational programs and community events.Our vibrant community offers many educational and professional opportunities for our members, and we want you to be able to take full advantage of them all.Opportunities include:

What began in 2009 as an informal study of classic scores among Ron's friends and peers turned into the Ravel Orchestration Study, and then the non-profit Academy of Scoring Arts. The ASA has since grown to encompass multiple studies, professional studies, and meet-ups to help professionals network with each other. We've created an opportunity for you to study with modern masters of their crafts. Dive into a decade of score studies, guest interviews, and panel discussions to discover how to take your music to the next level.
